Safety

The Mustang GTD has standard Post Collision Braking, which automatically apply the brakes in the event of a crash to help prevent secondary collisions and prevent further injuries. The Valhalla doesn’t offer a post collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed.

Both the Mustang GTD and the Valhalla have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, lane departure warning systems, rearview cameras and driver alert monitors.

Warranty

Ford’s powertrain warranty covers the Mustang GTD 2 years longer than Aston Martin covers the Valhalla. Any repair needed on the engine, transmission, axles, joints or driveshafts is fully covered for 5 years or 60,000 miles. Coverage on the Valhalla ends after only 3 years.

There are over 81 times as many Ford dealers as there are Aston Martin dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Mustang GTD’s warranty.

Reliability

The Mustang GTD has a standard “limp home system” to keep drivers from being stranded if most or all of the engine’s coolant is lost. The engine will run on only half of its cylinders at a time, reduce its power and light a warning lamp on the dashboard so the driver can get to a service station for repairs. The Valhalla doesn’t offer a lost coolant limp home mode, so a coolant leak could strand you or seriously damage the car’s engine.

Fuel Economy and Range

In heavy traffic or at stoplights the Mustang GTD’s engine automatically turns off when the vehicle is stopped, saving fuel and reducing pollution. The engine is automatically restarted when the driver gets ready to move again. If the conditions warrant or the driver wishes, the system can be manually disabled at any time for the duration of a trip. The Valhalla doesn’t offer an automatic engine start/stop system.

The Mustang GTD has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The Valhalla doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.

Brakes and Stopping

For better stopping power the Mustang GTD’s front brake rotors are larger than those on the Valhalla:

Tires and Wheels

For better traction, the Mustang GTD has larger tires than the Valhalla (F:325/30R20 & R:345/30R20 vs. F:285/30R20 & R:335/30R21).

Suspension and Handling

The Mustang GTD has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Valhalla doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

For better maneuverability, the Mustang GTD’s turning circle is 2.2 feet tighter than the Valhalla’s (37.8 feet vs. 40 feet).

Ergonomics

The Mustang GTD has a standard remote vehicle starting system, so the vehicle can be started from inside the driver's house. This allows the driver to comfortably warm up the engine before going out to the vehicle. The climate system will also automatically heat or cool the interior. The Valhalla doesn’t offer a remote starting system.

The Mustang GTD’s rain-sensitive wipers adjust their speed and turn on and off automatically based on the amount of rainfall on the windshield. This allows the driver to concentrate on driving without constantly adjusting the wipers. The Valhalla’s
